The CH-3 is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UCAV developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporations’ 11th Academy and manufactured by Poly Technologies Inc.(a defense manufacturing company with headquarters in Beijing, China) which is a subsidiary of China Poly Group Corporation. The company was founded by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army in order to provide competition to China North Industries Corporation (Norinco).
A model was first unveiled at the 2008 Zhuhai Airshow. Observers noted it may be based off the Yabhon-R, which is a system jointly developed by Malaysia and the UAE.
